Welcome to Veritas Electrical Testing Services!
A quarter of all reportable accidents at work (RIDDOR - The Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995) are as a result of the use of portable equipment. The vast majority of these are caused by electric shock; either because the equipment was mistreated, used incorrectly or because it was damaged.
For this reason, employers and Duty Holders have the legal responsibility to ensure that Employees and Visitors to their premises are suitably trained to use the equipment and that the equipment is structurally and electrically sound.
We have probably all heard of or seen evidence of things like silver paper around a fuse to stop it blowing, or the old addage of a nail instead of fuse wire but it's easy to forget that people have died or suffered horrific injuries as a result of these practices.

PAT Testing, Fixed Installation Testing and so on may seem to be an unnecessary expense, but it's done for a reason; to keep people and animals safe from the devastating effects of an electric shock during a fault. For this reason there are also statutory laws which cover use of electricity in every part of our lives, helping to enforce electrical safety.

Veritas Electrical Safety Testing Services are committed to carrying out work to the highest standards and we take NO shortcuts in our approach. We are thorough and methodical and we make sure that whatever we do complies with both statutory law and also best industry practice.
